The company has announced plans to make a Tilt-Rotor passenger eVTOL aircraft and has provided very little about the aircraft. However, we do know that almost all passenger eVTOL aircraft use propellers, electric motors and have either an all battery or a hybrid-electric power source. The company has stated they are working on the design of multiple power sources for all types of aircraft. For this aircraft, there is a high probability the aircraft will be powered by batteries or use a hybrid-electric power source; however, this information is not clear. Aerial Rider or also known as the ZTYT Feixia Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2023. Its roots go back to its original company forming in 2001 which developed UAVs, aerial cameras and other technologies. The original company created and successfully tested a helicopter parachute system in 2014. The company has kept evolving until Aerial Rider was formed and the company is in the business of making air cargo and passenger hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft. The company also manufactures turboshaft drones and aircraft. The slogan of the company is "let everyone enjoy the joy of flying."
As of January 2025, not much is known about their aircraft because their are very few specifications on their website. In addition, their press releases don't explain have names of their aircraft, very little specifications and provide very little information on their aircraft. One of the company's press releases names an aircraft the "Jumbo" and another one called the "Big Mac". However, no description of either of these aircraft is listed in the press releases. There is also a mention of a 9A01 aircraft but no information is available.
In fact, their website has no phone number listed, their contact email address doesn't work and the company's contact form on their website does not work. If anyone knows how to contact this company by phone or email, please email us here: info@eVTOL.news
Tiltrotor autonomous passenger eVTOL concept design aircraft
The company has stated in press releases they plan to build a tilt-rotor autonomous passenger eVTOL aircraft. However, no drawings or graphics have been released to the public. In addition, almost no specifications have been stated by the company except that the maximum payload weight is estimated to be 1,202 kg (2,650 lb) and the maximum takeoff weight of the aircraft is expected to be 2,585 kg (5,700 lb). As of January 2025, the company has not released any graphics or pictures on their website concerning the look of this aircraft.
Specifications:
- Aircraft type: Tilt-rotor autonomous passenger eVTOL concept design aircraft
- Piloting: Autonomous
- Capacity: Unknown
- Cruise speed: Unknown
- Maximum payload weight: 1,202 kg (2,650 lb)
- Maximum takeoff weight: 2,585 kg (5,700 lb)
- Propellers: Tilt-rotors (the number of tilt-rotors is unknown)
- Electric motors: The number of electric motors will be the same as the number of propellers
- Power source: The power source might be a conventional turboshaft engine or it can be fitted with an all battery power source, a hybrid system or a hybrid-hydrogen power source
- Fuselage: Carbon fiber composite
- Windows: Most new eVTOL aircraft have larger windows than conventional aircraft and the design will most likely follow this pattern
- Wings: At least one tilt-wing
- Tail: Unknown
- Landing gear: Unknown
- Safety features: Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP) uses multiple propellers or electric ducted fans, each powered by electric motors, to increase safety through redundancy. If one or more components fail, the remaining ones can still ensure a safe landing. There are also redundancies of critical components in the sub-systems of the aircraft providing safety through redundancy. Having multiple redundant systems on any aircraft decreases having any single point of failure. There is the possibility there will be a whole aircraft emergency ballistic parachute in case of an unexpected inflight emergency.
