Airbus Partners with Avincis

Airbus announced on June 5 that it will work with Avincis, Europe’s leading and largest Aerial Emergency Service operator, to further define a concept of operations for AAM in Europe and beyond. The two companies will do so by defining the mission profiles for eVTOL aircraft, such as emergency medical services and search and rescue. The Stockholm-headquartered Avincis operates a fleet of 60 Airbus aircraft for emergency response and operates in six countries. The Avincis multinational network, observed Balkiz Sarihan, CEO of UAM at Airbus, will be a “valuable tool to collectively explore the mission potential of CityAirbus NextGen,” Airbus’ eVTOL aircraft prototype.
