CAE and Beta Partner on Flight Training

CAE will provide pilot and maintenance technician training programs for the Beta Technologies Alia eVTOL aircraft in a strategic partnership announced on Sept. 15. In a press release, CAE said that it will develop a “full suite of innovative, digitally integrated curriculum and courseware solutions” that takes into consideration the “unique operational and mission-specific inputs for this aircraft.” According to CAE, the training curriculum will be developed in parallel with the certification process of Beta’s aircraft. The Burlington, Vermont-based Beta Technologies is developing the Alia 250, a passenger and cargo eVTOL with an expected range of 250 miles (400 km) and seating capacity of up to six people. In addition to Beta, CAE has partnered with at least two other eVTOL companies; CAE announced relationships with Volocopter and Jaunt Mobility in July and May, respectively.
