eVTOL Insights Recognizes Women in eVTOL

On Sept. 4, eVTOL Insights released a special report on women in the advanced air mobility (AAM) industry. In “Women in eVTOL: Special Report 2023,” eVTOL Insights provides the biography of 16 individuals, whom they selected based on nominations from those working in the AAM industry. “In an industry which is predominately male, it is so important to me that we recognise and celebrate the amazing women who continue to inspire their colleagues every day,” wrote Doreen Pupillo, Head of Partnerships at eVTOL Insights, in an introduction.
The report is the third of its annual reports published by eVTOL Insights, a London-based news website, on individuals working in the AAM industry. The first report was its “Powerbook,” first published in 2021, followed by its “CTO Special Report,” earlier this year. A fourth report, “Ones to Watch,” will be published later in 2023.
Divya Manchanda is the Chief of Airworthiness at the ePlane Company. Prior to assuming her current role, she worked as an airline pilot and founded two startups. Tracy Lamb brings more than 26 years of experience in commercial aviation to her current roles as Vice President of Finance at the Advanced Air Mobility Institute and CEO of Quantum AI.
Louise Bristow is the Head of Marketing and Communications at Odys Aviation, prior to which she served in senior roles at a variety of technology firms, including Archer Aviation and Tesla.
Elizabeth Chau, the Head of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) Strategic Development at NATS, is a subject matter expert in eVTOL who came to her current role in the UK from Singapore’s Civil Aviation Authority.
Sandra Formenton is the CEO and Founder of eVertiSKY, in which capacity she is among the leading voices on smart city infrastructure and urban air mobility.
Alison Wyrick is the Global Marketing Director for AAM at Honeywell and has helped increase the company’s AAM profile and that of the entire industry.
Joanne Moses is a partner at Acuity Partners with more than 20 years of experience as an executive search consultant and hosts the podcast, “Formidable Females in Future Flight.”
Nele Bittel is an Engineering Manager of Aerodynamics at Lilium and was instrumental in achieving the company’s performance goals with its Phoenix demonstrator.
Juliana Oliveira brings a degree in social work with a specialization in human rights and global citizenship to her role as Employee Journey Analyst at Eve Air Mobility.
Julia Norsetter is the Transportation Policy and Analysis Lead at Reed Smith LLP, prior to which she worked in telecommunications and at the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Sheena Banker is the co-owner and Director of Public Relations at Volatus Infrastructure and Energy Solutions and has helped make the company a globally recognized brand.
Marilyn Pearson is the Global Regulatory Affairs Specialist at CAE and is the Chair of the SAE International G35 Modeling, Simulation and Training for Emerging Aviation Technologies and Concepts Committee.
Dr. Martine Rothblatt is the Chairperson and CEO of United Therapeutics and is leading her company’s efforts to deliver lifesaving organs using electric aircraft.
Caryn Moore Lund is the Vice President of Public Policy at Ferrovial Vertiports, prior to which she served in senior leadership roles at Lilium and the US Department of Transportation.
Katie Jo Sunday is the Additive Manufacturing Lead at Joby Aviation and has been with the company since 2020, prior to which she worked at GKN Powder Metallurgy.
Chiara Damia is a CFD Engineer at Manta Aircraft focusing on the comparison and harmonization of wind tunnel test data with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) data for the Manta ANN platform.
Elly Callan is a consultant at Strativ Group and is leading a project involving conversations with women across the AAM industry.
