Honeywell Forms UAS/UAM Division

Honeywell International, Inc., announced on June 16 that it had created a business unit, to tap the opportunities in the developing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and urban air mobility (UAM) industries. The new division under Honeywell’s Aerospace segment will include engineering and sales resources to cater to customers’ requirements in the UAM market. Stéphane Fymat is the new vice president and general manager for Honeywell UAS and UAM. The company hopes to gain a 20% market share of the hardware and software market for UAS and UAM, which it predicted would reach $120B by 2030. (Sources: Honeywell, Aviation Today)
