Inpixon to Merge with XTI Aircraft Company

Inpixon, a California-based company specializing in real-time location systems, announced in a July 25 press release that it had entered into a definitive merger agreement with XTI Aircraft Company, a Colorado-based firm that is developing the hybrid-electric TriFan 600 VTOL aircraft. The merger, if completed, will result in a publicly traded company aimed at bringing the TriFan 600 to market and continuing to provide Inpixon’s location systems. In August 2022, XTI Aircraft refined its design for the TriFan 600, moving the tilting ducted fans from the wings to the fuselage of the aircraft (see “Electric VTOL News,” Vertiflite, Sept/Oct 2022). XTI said it had secured more than 700 conditional preorders for the TriFan 600 to date.
