Jaunt Announces Successes
Jaunt Air Mobility and its partners made several announcements before and since the beginning of 2021. On Dec. 16, the company announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with VerdeGo Aero to explore the development of a hybrid-electric version of its Jaunt slowed rotor/compound (SR/C) electric rotorcraft. On Jan. 29, the company and Varon Vehicles announced they are collaborating on advanced air mobility (AAM) infrastructure in Latin America. Varon is developing a series of vertiports connected to each other via well-defined, low-altitude virtual lanes through which the Jaunt Journey and other AAM vehicles will fly. On Jan. 15, Italian startup Walle Mobility announced it was partnering with Jaunt to provide AAM transit services in Italy; Walle is currently working with the regulatory authorities and mapping out first key routes for its air taxi service, planned for 2026.
