Ryse Aero Reveals Recon
On May 9, Ryse Aero Technologies unveiled the Ryse Recon, a one-passenger multicopter eVTOL aircraft. The Ohio-based eVTOL developer revealed the Recon at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo in Long Beach, California. The Recon, which employs six independent electric motors with removable batteries, features a range of up to 25 miles (40 km) and a top speed of 63 mph (101 km/h).
The Recon is designed to be flown without extensive training and over any type of terrain, said Erik Stephansen, director of regulatory affairs and aeronautics at Ryse, in a statement. The company plans to sell the Recon under the FAA’s Part 103 ultralight rules and begin deliveries in January 2023.
