SkyDrive Makes Quiet Progress

On Sept. 6, SkyDrive announced that it had partnered with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to study the noise impacts of eVTOL aircraft. The Toyota City, Japan-based eVTOL developer will work with JAXA to incorporate its technology to improve the noise level of rotor blades. “We will use the data acquired through the research by using JAXA’s existing noise source identification technology to take us through the major step to developing flying cars that the society needs,” said Nobuo Kishi, Chief Technology Officer at SkyDrive, in a statement.
