VFS Agility Prime support

On April 27–May 1, the US Air Force held a week-long virtual launch event for its Agility Prime initiative. Dr. Will Roper, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics, launched the program to accelerate the growth of the transformative vertical flight market for subsequent government use.

The week-long event was video captured and the videos are available on the Air Force's AFWERX YouTube Channel: 20+ hours of video-recorded webinar presentations by government and industry

VFS Executive Director Mike Hirschberg gave an intro presentation on The Electric VTOL Revolution (20 minutes), on Wed. afternoon, April 29. The presentation slides (6MB PDF) can also be downloaded.

VFS also led a panel with three vertical flight academic leaders: University Research & Education: How to Build the eVTOL Workforce (30-minute panel) on Friday, May 1. VFS has launched a webpage on the critical need to develop the Future Vertical Workforce; presentation slides and more information are available on that webpage.

VFS was also a panelist on an AFWERX webinar on Education and SBIRs in July 2020, which was posted online on June 9, 2021.
