XPeng’s X2

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, XPeng Motors, unveiled what it calls its “fifth-generation flying vehicle,” the X2, on July 16, reported the Chinese electric vehicle news site, CnEVPost.com. The X2 has a maximum takeoff weight of 1,235 lb (560 kg), a range of 35 minutes and a maximum speed of 80 mph (130km/h). The company’s eVTOL division, XPeng Huitian, unveiled its “fourth-generation” Voyager X1 in April, and said it has made more than 10,000 test flights; the roadable eVTOL will begin test drives by the end of this year. XPeng is headquartered in Guangzhou, with offices in Mountain View, California, and is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
