The information provided here is as accurate as possible; however, eVTOL information from China is sometimes sparse, incomplete or conflicting. China is promoting what they call the "low-altitude economy" — a new push for general aviation — which includes both crewed and uncrewed passenger and air cargo eVTOL aircraft.
Founded in 2015, Aossci Technology is based in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. Aossci Technology is an aerospace company that makes electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) and hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing drones for various air missions. The company also provides UAV management, control, remote monitoring, data processing, data management as an integrated comprehensive cloud platform.
XC-150 hybrid-electric VTOL drone production model
The XC-150 is a hybrid-electric VTOL modular drone production model. The drone has been designed for large scale air missions and can support aerial reconnaissance, disaster management, security and surveillance, pipeline inspection, forestry management, maritime monitoring, firefighting, meteorology, emergency communications, communication relay, material transportation, special applications and more.
The drone has satellite communication capability. The drone can operate in high and low temperatures, high altitudes and in light rain conditions. A tactical military version has also been designed by the company that performs intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and strike missions.
The drone's cruise speed is in the range of 110–140 km/h (68–87 mph) and has a flight time of 10 hours. The aircraft has a line-of-sight control radius of 200 km (125 miles). The drone has a maximum cruise altitude of 3,500 m (11,500 ft). The aircraft has one pusher propeller, eight stacked VTOL-only propellers, nine electric motors and is powered by a hybrid-electric power source.
The drone has one high main wing, has one inverted V-tail and has fixed tricycle strut landing gear. The fuselage is made from carbon fiber composite to give the aircraft a high strength to low weight ratio. The drone's length is 3.33 m (10.9 ft), has a wingspan of 6.9 m (22.6 ft) and has a height of 1 m (3.3 ft).

- Safety features: Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP) uses multiple propellers or electric ducted fans, each powered by electric motors, to increase safety through redundancy. If one or more components fail, the remaining ones can still ensure a safe landing. There are also redundancies of critical components in the sub-systems of the aircraft providing safety through redundancy. Having multiple redundant systems on any aircraft decreases having any single point of failure. The aircraft has no moving surfaces or tilting parts when transitioning from vertical to forward flight and the reverse which increases safety by reducing complexity.
